Kawawang Jun, hahahaha

Sabi ng Court of Appeals, hindi daw na-kidnap si Jun Lozada! Hindi as in no!!!

Whew!

Finally, that controversial MOA-AD has been cancelled by the President herself. Fajardo's statements are clear same as the words of the President yesterday that the policy of her administration in dealing with the problem in Mindanao is to shift dialogues from the leaders to the people in the communities.

The peace process is still the main option towards the resolution of the armed conflicts in the southern part of the Philippines. But even with this cancellation and the seeking of a new peace agreement, the criminal leaders of the MILF should be prosecuted and the full force of our laws be applied to them. No matter what threats the highest leaders of the MILF tell the government, the rule of law should still prevail.

Talo nanaman!

The petition filed by Suplico et. al, versus Romulo Neri et. al regarding the cancelled NBN-ZTE deal was already decided by the court. In my opinion it was already moot and academic because there is no more cause to implead Gloria and the rest who were included in the case because the contract was already canceled.

As expected, the decision of the court on the petitions was based on the mootness of the case since the NBN project has long been canceled by the President. There is no judicial controversy to be settled. Nothing much has to be said about this case because no factual contentions supported by evidence has been presented at any stage of this issue. The decision of the Court has to be respected by all parties involved although I am sure the likes of Harry Roque will make improper remarks and will challenge this decision one of these days.

Sabi nga ni J. Ruben Reyes, "Kapag wala nang buhay na kaso, wala nang dahilan para magdesisyon ang Husgado."

Actually, the Supreme Court's decision was anchored on the principle of judicial notice on the Rules on Evidence. The President's cancellation of the contract is an official act which the court should treat as mandatory judicial notice. Otherwise stated, the official acts of the President, or even the legislative and the executive needs no proof.

Who is this Jun Lozada?

For the past days I have seen this name float all over the place: in the TV news, internet forums, even blogs. When I saw him crying I thought I saw another actor in play. Tsk tsk.

IMHO, Mr. Lozada is not a credible witness. If he's telling the truth, he's just telling half of what's true. Well that is what I observed on his face while he was answering questions thrown at him. He has that scheming grin on his face that says he's only up to make a revenge because he didn't get his share of the cake. He used to work for the Philippine Forest Corporation, maybe he didn't make much money from that office. Or maybe he did. We just don't know. I just do not believe him the first time I saw him saying blah, blah, blah!!!
